Deb McConnell

2023 President

I was first introduced to clay as an Art Education major in college. The malleability and unlimited possibilities of the medium instantly reeled me in. After a long hiatus raising a family, I was reintroduced to pottery at Washington Art Association in Washington Depot, CT where I worked for many years until building a home studio. At the end of 2019 I relocated to Waxhaw, NC and had a new home studio built. I currently work in white stoneware and am constantly inspired by natural settings. My wares are mostly functional, animal or plant related, contain some element of painting or carving, and are fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
