Kristie Heyworth

Rooted in a lifelong love of nature and horses, my artistic journey came full circle when I returned to ceramics. Though clay remains a passionate hobby alongside my professional career, I pursue it at every opportunity from my peaceful home studio. Equipped with a secondhand wheel and kiln, I enjoy both wheel throwing and hand building, with a special interest in wheel-thrown altered forms and alternative firing techniques. I am still happily learning the nuances of the craft, creating expressive, earth-connected forms under the watchful eye of my old horse and amid the sound of birds singing. As a new member, I am incredibly excited to join the guild and look forward to learning and growing alongside this talented community.
